Welcome to day four of 6 cards featuring one sheet of DSP from Fresh As A Daisy! This is a birthday card I made for my brother-in-law using the Circle Sayings Bundle and one of the pieces from the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper. A simple and easy card with big birthday wishes!
Supplies
- Basic White Cardstock
- Wild Wheat Cardstock
- Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Wild Wheat Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Multi-Purpose Glue
- Baker Twine Essentials Pack – using 22″ of Crumb Cake Twine
Cutting
- Using the photo below cut the piece of Fresh As A Daisy DSP as shown, then cut the piece shown in the photo above.
- Cut Wild Wheat Cardstock in half on the long side to yield two 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 pieces of cardstock – fold one piece in half and burnish with bone folder.
- Cut Pretty Peacock in half on the long side then cut a piece 4 x 5 1/4 for inside of card.
- Cut Basic White in half on the long side than cut a piece 3 3/4 x 5 for inside of card.
Stamp Die Cut and Punch
- Stamp Celebrate and Happy Birthday with the Circle Sayings Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock as shown, on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, then punch using the 2 3/8″ coordinating punch from the bundle.
- Cut a circle from Stylish Shapes Dies that is a little larger than stamped image above.
- Stamp sentiment and leaves on Basic White layer as shown in the photo below for the inside of the card.
Assembly
- Adhere DSP to the front of the card with Multi-Purpose Glue.
- Adhere white stamped circle to Pretty Peacock Circle with Multi-Purpose Glue.
- Cut a piece of Crumb Cake Bakers Twine, fold in half and wrap around card as shown in the photo above.
- Adhere circle layer to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, this also keeps the twine in place.
- Adhere white stamped sentiment to Pretty Peacock layer as shown in the photo below with Multi-Purpose Glue.
- Adhere layered sentiment to the inside of the card then pull ends of ribbon through loop to close the card.
- Decorate envelope as desired with images from stamp set or another piece of DSP from Fresh As A Daisy.
